So, I just found out yesterday that masterbation in prisons is not allowed. Female and Male prisons. It is seen in some as self mutilation. So, I know prisoners are in there for a reason, they did the crime, they serve the time. But sexual needs and masterbation are a part of life. Just as much as a part of life as eating and sleeping. The body cannot control feelings and urges like that. So what do you think? Should prisoners be allowed to masterbate? They are not allowed to have sex with each other, even consensual. But should they be able to masterbate? One could argue that a person in prison for a sex crime should not be allowed to but everyone else? I am a little torn. I think they should be able to, to prevent frustration and sexual build-up...which can lead to violence or am I way off? And on the other hand, they are being punished. But isn't being in prison away from society with everything else taken awway enough? I would love to hear opinions on this.
